For those of you already doing research, describe how you could potentially add a community-based element to it or how you are already doing community-based work. For those who are not, propose briefly a community-based research project that you could imagine doing.

How are you poised to leave this experience? In particular, what is especially compelling for you to do next as a person, learner, or community member? (This could be tied to an issue or group you want to investigate, strategies for advancing your own skills and knowledge, etc.)

- Post a comment online about what you thought of the meeting
Message from Zahra:
I hope you all had a wonderful summer and that your quarter is going well! We would like to invite you to our Civic & Community Engagement meeting on Friday November 9 from 1:30-3:30 in Student Services 1010 A,B. At the meeting, we will have a chance to network, we will discuss current civic and community engagement projects, and lunch will be served!
We are in the process of reorganizing the Civic & Community Engagement Committee into an Advisory Council format with members who play an active role in the development of specific community engagement projects. With that in mind, I’ve created a brief survey to find out your thoughts about our reorganization. Whether you are a current committee member or not, please take the time to complete the survey, and feel free to send the link to anyone who may be interested in weighing in. You can find it at: http://eee.uci.edu/survey/CCESurvey
I look forward to seeing you on November 9! Please RSVP to Zahra Ahmed at ahmedz@uci.edu
