COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides students with exposure to research topics in informatics. The course features guest lectures from academia and industry, from both inside and outside the university. The course includes seminar lectures, discussions, and readings.

THIS COURSE WILL BE GRADED S/U REGARDLESS OF WHAT OPTION YOU CHOOSE WHEN YOU REGISTER!

About the Informatics Seminar

The Informatics Department Seminar is held every week, except when another distinguished speaker (e.g., the ISR Distinguished Lecture series) is held in its place.

If you would like to suggest a speaker or offer to speak yourself, please email Gillian Hayes, the seminar coordinator. Please note, the speakers fill up quite far in advance, so we can't always guarantee accommodation. Also, speakers are generally not graduate students but can be researchers, professionals, faculty, and so on from both within UCI and outside.
