Jazette Johnson and Lucretia Williams PhD Lemon Cake

Jazette and Lucretia both finished their PhDs in 2023. Emani and Stella also finished their Masters degrees, so it was a time for extra fun!

These pics are the custom mortar board and smores chocolates we experimented with making. I had a very good helper.

My students use these emotion octopus plushies to show me how they are feeling (the colors reverse and so do the faces when you turn them inside out). So, I decided to make one out of rice krispie treats. Emani thought it was a real plushie. So, I say VICTORY.

Just pics of the cake. I did my usual three layer with a butter cream crumb coat, then smooth coat. The twist was the drip melty thing on top. I had never done it before. It turned out okay, though I was nervous, and I am not sure its worth it in the end.
